Due to some unfortunate circumstances, I will probably be rooming random for my junior year. Which makes me sad because I really tried branching out these last two years.
I joined a political club my freshman year and met some cool guys that I roomed with this year… until we had a falling out. We won’t be rooming together again due to a difference of opinion with regards to Covid safety… which I’m also sad about, because I really liked those guys.
I also rushed a fraternity last year and got a bid. I went to most of the socials and chapters and brotherhood events and planned on living in house my junior year. I gave it my all, put myself out there. But I hated it. It was socially draining.
So here we are, going into junior year with a random roommate(s). What is your advice to make friends next year? Gotta admit, I hate being alone on weekends and all I want is a small group of people to go out drinking with.
Suggestions?
