To Whom It May Concern,
Today, I thank God for my acceptance by Deerfield, Exeter, and Choate.
However, my uncle was supposed to pay for my tuition if I got in. Therefore, we did not apply for financial aid, even though we are eligible. My uncle died this past week. Are there any scholarships for which I can still apply? Also, I have a close family friend who attended Eaglebrook (junior school next to Deerfield) and Exeter. Could he vouch for me to receive aid?

Don’t ask us. Your parents need to get on the phone with the schools ASAP to find out if you can still apply for aid. Good luck!

No one can vouch for you to receive financial aid, your parents need to call the schools immediately and ask about FA money. If the schools say it’s possible your parents will need to fill out forms and include tax documents.
Congrats on your acceptances! And sorry for
your loss.
You need to tell the schools what happened. I don’t think that they’ll immediately assume that you lied initially to increase your chances of getting in but you might need provide some proof of your agreement with your uncle.
In your other thread you said your uncle didn’t live in the US, you have no hopes of getting any of the money, and your “family friend” at Eaglebrook is actually a cousin. I think the best you can do is contact the schools and tell them your source of funding fell through and see what they say.
How much do you need to be able to attend those schools? If you need the majority of the costs covered I wouldn’t expect to get that much even if they let you file this late. But you can ask.
@austinmshauri It’s confusing because I call his mother “Auntie” even though we aren’t related. Thank you for your advice.
To Whom It May Concern,
I am very thankful to have been admitted into three schools: Exeter, Choate, and Deerfield.
However, there is no way we can pay for it. We are eligible for financial aid, but one of my uncles promised to pay for me if I were accepted. Therefore, we did not apply. However, he died this past week. Most people don’t have wills in Nigeria, so it is unlikely we will see any of his money since we live in the United States. Are there any scholarships for which I can still apply? I also have a cousin who went to Eaglebrook (6-9 school across the street from Deerfield) and Exeter. Would he be able to vouch for us to receive financial aid?

MODERATOR’S NOTE:
Closing thread. OP made a second (and third) account (which is against the rules) to ask the question.
