Because UCI requires you to log in using your UCInetID before you can use the internet, this would lead to problems with an Xbox 360, because it has no browser to log in from. But alas, my fellow gamers, all you have to do is register your MAC address with this site:
Other Device Registration

If you don't know hot to find your MAC address for your 360, check out this link:
WSU Knowledgebase - How do I find the MAC address of my Xbox 360?

i never had to do anything… just plug n’ play…

take it from the guy who had 3 xbox 360’s and a ps3 in his room ^_^

Really? Hmmm, interesting. Because my friend who is going to be a second year, said he couldn’t get his 360 to connect to XBL. So I’m guessing it depends from dorm to dorm.

How did you have so many consoles? Router? And maybe more importantly, why?

it was plugged directly into the wall. my roommates and i all brought a 360 just so we could system link and such. one of my roommates brought a 360, ps3, and a 32 inch hdtv and we also had a sound system. it was seriously THE entertainment center of the hall. good times good times

Man, LANning it up in a dorm room, very nice! Where on earth did you fit a 32" tv!?

Also, how many ethernet ports are there in a dorm?

one of my roommates sacrificed his desk for it. it fit well lol. there are two ports i think, so one usually went to an xbox/ps3 and the other to a wireless router.
