I finished one SAT book "Princeton Review, Cracking the SAT".

Now what book should i use to increase my math and writing score?

Current score:
math: 590
writing: 520

Of course, I'm practicing the blue book, but I need some strategies and good, useful tips to raise my score dramatically. I need a book which i could study on my own, without any assistance. Like the Gruber book is really complicated, and need a tutor for that.

I need a book that's really useful for self-study.
Thanks.

I have the same issue. I hope someone can shed light on the way with which they got good scores on the SAT - much needed help. I’m concerned with books too - but not as much as I am with ways or methods you guys used to prepare for the SAT. Thanks! :)

If you are scoring in the 500s that mean you are missing some of the easier ones which are mostly basic algebra and reasoning. I’m sure if you just a school textbook or just get some basic algebra info online that would raise your score. If you understood the PR book then figure out exactly what kinds of problems are you missing on a practice test

PR as in the Princeton Review? My scores fluctuate. At their highest, I get 2000. At their lowest, I’m at 1800. I aiming to raise my highest score by 200 more, which is 2200, and intend to keep it consistent. Any advice?
Having taken the diagnostics, I would say my main weakness is my poor time management, which leads directly to a slew of unanswered questions, and my ambivalence in deciding which the correct answer is when working on the reading sections (There’s always two that seems perfectly fine). And half the time I’m so burned out I just go on autopilot.
