I took a diagnostic SAT score and scored a 1340. What would you recommend to increase my score to a 1500, or by around 200 points? What books are good? Apart from Khan Academy, what online classes/websites are good? Also, I can’t do a full SAT camp, so would you recommend just doing one week after I’ve done all my practicing to go over some final material, or just leave it with self-studying?
I’ve heard people say Princeton Review has a good SAT prep course. Buy the College Board books and just do exercises out of them every day, and maybe take a practice test once every 2 weeks. For me, the last week, I just studied one subject every day for 3 days (day 1 - math, day 2 - reading, day 3 - writing/essay), took a 2 day brain break, and took 2 practice tests each of the last 2 days leading up to my test (4 total). I also had a tutor who had his own proprietary material that I used to prepare for the test. I scored near-perfect after scoring like a 1350 on Khan Academy during my sophomore year, so I’d say that could raise your score like 200 points.
If you are lacking in the math department, try SAT MATH PROBLEMS by Steve Waener. If you are lacking in the reading department try the Critical Reader.
thanks for the help, i actually got a 670 on both the math and reading/language, so i’m lacking in both.
@DJCURRYBEATS19 for each of the three days how many hours did you study?
