so i am taking my 1st yr of IB Chem HL, and since we dont have to take the IB exam until our senior yr, i was thinking of self-studying AP Chem. is it hard? i know basic honors chem stuff from last yr and this yr's class is basically self-studying the Zumdahl book/doing labs.

Would it be better to take the AP chem exam my junior yr, along w/ AP bio and 2other tests OR take it during my senior yr, along w/ 6 IB exams and 3 AP's???

I think many other people will agree with me: AP Chem is difficult to self-study. Now I don't know the IB curriculum, so if it is similar to AP Chem, it probably isn't that bad. But by itself, AP Chem is hard to self-study.

well, you really don't have to "self-study" for AP chemistry since you're already taking IB Chem HL.......just do good in the course and then take the AP exam in may. Also, buy Princeton Review Prep book for AP chem.

You seem so set for life I just can't see why you would need to bother taking it :)
