How to send priority ACT?

I’ve been trying to send my ACT scores through priority, as my deadline is coming up, but I can’t figure out how to. Any help?

I am assuming you mean you want to rush the scores to a college rather than do regular delivery. It looks like you may have to contact ACT to find out how to do that because it appears ACT has removed any information about rushing scores from its site. It might have done away with the rush score option.

The site does explain “regular” delivery, which is now uniformly done electronically to a college. Each college designates when it wants to receive scores, such as on a daily or weekly basis, but it has to be at least every two weeks. Scores are not sent until complete, e.g., if you took the essay portion, that may take longer to grade than your multiple choice sections, and no composite or section scores wlll be sent until the essay score is completed if you took the essay.

If you order scores sent regular delivery and your test has already been scored, your order will be processed within a week and then sent electronically according to the next scheduled date for doing so with the college. Basically, in the past, if you rushed scores, the actual sending to colleges in this computer age really was not much different than regular reporting (scores may have been delivered a day or possibly two quicker).

As to whether you may have any need to rush scores (and thus need to contact ACT now to see if it can be done), you should check with the college. If you are thinking of rushing, I am assuming that you have an early November application deadline, such as for EA or ED, that you are trying to meet. Vast majority of colleges with such application deadlines accept tests scores that arrive after the deadline (usually up to 10 days to two weeks after, and even longer, and many of those even accept November SAT test scores for ED or EA. Moreover, many colleges even say they do not want you to send the scores via the rushed score option. There are however, some colleges with an early nov EA or ED application deadline that require test scores to be in their hands by the application deadline. Those colleges make it clear on their sites that the scores are due at same time as the application deadline and usually also state that taking the Oct ACT, and possibly also the Oct SAT, will be too late for ED or EA. If the college is unclear on its site as to actual date for submitting test scores or other supporting materials, it is most likely one that accepts scores that arrive after there application deadline, but you should contact the college to confirm…

Actually, I have now check with ACT. There is no longer any option to send scores via rushed delivery; regular delivery should be used.

thanks so much for your help!

My ACT sent pretty quickly, but they don’t offer any rush scoring.

We sent ACT scores (or rather, requested them online from ACT) on Sunday, and all of the schools on my son’s list have received them as of yesterday, according to the admissions checklists on their portals.
