Will my ACT send on time

I sent my ACT scores to my ed school today (10/25) No where on the school’s website does it say scores MUST be in November first, but that is when the app is due. I’m worried my scores won’t get there on time. Will my application immediately be thrown out if my scores aren’t thee?

What college did you apply to? Did they want the official scores from ACT or was there a self-report option?

no self report option unfortunately:( I’ve read that it takes a few days for the college to collect/organize all applications and scores and that they will email you (and give you a chance to fix it) if things are missing from applications. may just be wishful thinking, but hoping this is the case.

Most colleges with Nov 1 EA or RD deadlines accept test scores that arrive after the application deadline; many even accept November SAT test scores. Those that actually require submission of test scores by the application deadline say so on their site. If nothing is specifically said, it usually means the scores can arrive after Nov 1. One way to confirm that scores can arrive after Nov 1 is to check the site to see if the college accepts scores from the October ACT test for EA or ED; if it does then it must accept scores that arrive after Nov 1.

As to whether scores ordered sent Oct 25 will actually arrive by Nov 1, it just depends. ACT says that it usually processes such requests within a week (and thus often quicker). Each college then has a date for electronic transfer of ACT scores to the college. Some accept daily transfer, some only weekly, and the timing can be no less than every two weeks. Once your send request is processed, electronic delivery will occur on the college’s next transmission date.
