How to show interest???

I didn't 100% decide on applying to GWU until recently, but now I really really want to go. Problem is, interview deadline has already past. So how can I demonstrate my interest. I know I could take a tour, but getting to DC before the Jan 10 deadline could be next to impossible for me. Would it help if I visited within a couple weeks after the deadline? Because I think I could do that. And they would get my first semester grades until late January/early February anyways, so why wouldn't they consider a late visit? What are some other ways to show that I really care???

Applying ED2? That shows enough interest right there.

Reg. Decision? Who knows when they start looking at apps and deciding? I guess you should contact your local admissions rep and start there.

Money is an issue so I’m not so sure ED2 would be the wisest decision. What should I ask the rep, just educated questions about the school itself? Anything else I can do?

I think that is enough. You can also let the rep know that GW is a somewhere you really want to go, and make sure to say that in your essay as well with good reasons behind it. My older daughter didn’t interview, but did go when they were at local college fairs and talked to the rep a few times.

Good luck!

My “S” went RD due to financial concerns and was accepted, although he did have time to interview. I agree, your best shot is to contact your regional admission rep for GW - visit local college fairs where GW will be attending and make contact!. I would explain your reasons for applying RD. I told my “S” to kind of blame it on us - the parents - due to wanting to compare FA offers.

Make sure you let the rep know GW is your 1st choice, and make sure your essay states this and why “GW” not just DC!

i checked gwu.edu and the last time gwu took part in any college fairs/high school visits in my area was early november, and there arnt any more fairs/visits scheduled. =/

anything i can do at this point?! are my options limited to a campus visit at this point? should i write an email to my local admission rep, and if so, what do people usually write in those types of things???
