How to stand out & have good relationship with teachers?

I transferred to a new, harder school this year and because I did not quickly adjust myself, I was always tired and class, and not "stand out in the most positive way" that I hope: I mean I ask a lot of questions in PreCal, which I truly was confused but the teacher said half jokingly "stupid questions". IDK if he was just kidding or not, but in other classes I feel I haven't stood out as "the superstar" student" like I was at my old school since everybody here's gifted and talented.

You can always ask teachers at your old schools to do recommendations, provided that colleges wouldn’t mind if you used a teacher rec that isn’t junior/senior year.

Are you a junior or senior right now?

juniorrrrrrrr

Just talk a lot, in a good way if you know what I mean, and start joking around with them. Depending on the teachers, maybe some small amounts of sarcasm, etc
