Marix123…Through experience, i’ve realized that studying for the ACT’s isn’t as hard as you would think. Basically, you buy a prep book, either Kaplan or the red REAL prep book (not princeton) and in the front you’ll have a chance to brush up on any areas that are weaknesses. (Kaplan even has “100 Math concepts” in the back) So anyway, skim through their advice or whatever, and when you feel comfortable, start timing yourself and taking the tests in the back. After you’ve taken the test, correct your answers and go over what you messed up on. Most really good books have a whole explanation on how to solve the problem. Since you’re taking it in Oct., you might wana get started now on taking a full length test every weekend and going over it throughout the week. Here’s what only 3 weeks of studying did for me:
First test (no studying): English:31 Math: 21 Reading: 22 Science: 23 Composite:24

Second test: English: 34 Math: 24 Reading: 31 Science: 24 Composite: 28

I’m taking it again in September, and i’ve already seen results by doing that; my math’s now at a 28!
