How to study for the AP Language and Composition Exam?!?

Does anyone have any AP Language released exams? Maybe 2007 or 2001? Willing to offer my first newborn child.

^^^^^ haha, I have parts of them from my english teacher, but unfortunately they’re not online, they’re typed. I couldn’t find any online which is really unfortunate because the only other thing I have is my PR book, but the practice tests in that are nothing like the actual test.

Do you have some questions from released exam? Have you tried googling a question from the released exam. Usually that works. Unless no ones ever put these exams online.

i need to steal the 2011 exam ! whose with me ?

thank you! you’ve made me feel much more at ease with this test! i know i am a good writer but i sometimes doubt my abilities lol… otherwise i think my best bet at this point is to go over all the notes my teacher gave me, look at good essays, and take practice tests! And of course memorize those literary terms;P

I have the same question as others: Are there any actual exams from previous years? I’m not referring to the BS Practice Questions that CB releases, but actual exams.

Yeah, 2001 and 2007 have been released but I’ve never come across them.

Which types of things are best to analyze on Rhetorical analysis?
… I’m really going to fail that essay…

@KingHughes: umm why do you call them BS practice questions?

My teacher told my class to just review terms.

I would advice you to do some practice essays if you are worried and/or read some graded essays from previous years. The latter will help you understand what the scorers are looking for.

And do some practice multiple choice!

My class has been doing some practice for the past 3 weeks…

Does anyone want to contribute a list of literary terms that you’ve seen show up on practice/real exams? Here are some that I’ve seen quite a lot of (I’m only including ones that I didn’t know the meaning of):
chiasmus
ad hominem
litotes
tricolon
metonymy
syllogism

Does Princeton Review have accurate MC tests?

NO… I started one but didn’t even bother to finish because the questions aren’t even similar to a real MC test.

Are you guys looking for released MC or released essays? All the essays from like 1999-on are on apcentral, but I don’t know where the MC is.

Who’s excited???!!!?!

This cram packet has a lot of good info, including a list of terms that have previously appeared on past exams (as asked for above) - <a href=“School Website, CMS & Communications Platform | Finalsite”>School Website, CMS & Communications Platform | Finalsite;

I can’t seem to make myself study for this test…

Lang/Comp is a really easy test, provided you can write the essays quickly and you understand standard written English.

for the synthesis and argument essays, do you have to have rebuttals in order to get a 9?
