k now that i'm done with the ap calc and us history exams, its time to focus on english. what r u guys doin to prepare? and what score is needed for a 5?

Just write in a unique way , thats what the books usually say :D
i haven't prepared really :X
just do practice essays and stuff and remember to be creative in your writing! the mc is gonna be HELLLLL

this is what my English teacher tells my class:

"there is nothing you can do really at this point. It's your innate ability.."

Yeah, I know he is so encouraging

haha well my reading isnt great i have trouble keeping focus during those long passages...

As far as the points go...to get a 5, I think you have to get above around 110 to get a 5....after multiplying 1.2-something to the MC and 3.05-something to the essay...

Urg I hate long passages too...but the test definitely won't have passages as long as those in the Applied Practice book -__-...or so says my teacher...

what does the test consist of
80 mc?
and 2 essays
1 being synthesis?

i dont really know

^ I think we must have the same teacher. :D

the test is 50-55 MC in 60 min and a synthesis, analysis, and argumentative essay

Gonna work on some MC sample questions, cause its gonna be true hell. Practice some writing prompts, read some essays from Princeton Review etc.

We live and breathe rhetoric and we've done so many in-class FRE's. I am so ready for this test

lucky my teacher hasnt taught us ANYTHING so its all up to me

Ap Barron's book has a good list of terms to study... If you want, I can e-mail you the list of terms my teacher typed up...they are pretty helpful :P
