How to study for the SAT II Literature test

This is for someone who does very well in English Lit. Does anyone recommend specific study books? Thanks.

I am using Barron's because even though it's got a reputation for being more difficult than the actual test, I figure that it's better than using a book that's got a reputation for being too easy. The makers of the SAT subject tests, our favorite ever COLLEGE BOARD, has some SAT II test practice books on their website that you can order, and I have that for Literature also.

Mostly you have to be able to answer questions about passages, poems, and plays. So if you are (judging by your username) the mother of someone who is looking to prep for the Lit test, having them in an English class that discusses the books and is really interactive is the best prep. My AP english class is like that, and it definately helps more than a book could because it's like practice every day of the week.

I hope that helps.

(Just so you know, also, you can buy used SAT II prep books on amazon.com for like 50 cents plus like $3 shipping. Way cheaper than buying new, just make sure it's in "good condition." Chances are, you're not going to use the prep books again, so it's not very logical to invest $20 in a paperback book. :))

Thanks, GDW!

I wish I could do that, I mean, I'm tired of spending money on prep books, but I just can't study with used books. X(
