How to study for world history final??

Hi guys! I`m kinda unsure of how to go about studying for my world history final exam...what do you all recommend? I know memorization is one thing for vocabulary, but theres a lot more than just names and dates that we're supposed to know. What is the best way to study ideas, theories, etc?

bump.........................

It depends what WH you are in. In APWH you'll want to know some facts, dates, etc. However, trends and themes of the civilizations is much more important. You have to see change over time, make parallels, etc. Good luck!

we only have one world history...no APWH or WH honors.

The only way I do well in history courses if I outline. I start with a VERY detailed outline from the textbook/class notes. Then when I read through it I condense chunks of sentences into one sentence. Then i'll read through it again and condense sentences into phrases. I just keep reading and rewording it on the computer and eventually I'll print and read through it constantly. However, I do this over the course of a semester/year (let me tell you, APs are so easy with this method... I do it for all social studies classes and science classes and, well, any class that has a lot of textual informatoin).
