Hi everyone, I am currently a Freshman at ELHS. I am taking Geometry Honors right now. I was just wondering that if I can take Algebra 2 over the summer so I can take take Trignometry and Precalculus next year in Sophomore. If you are kindly to help me, could you tell me where and how I can take Algebra 2 online over summer. Thanks!
Talk to your guidance counselor.
There are many online options, but you need to check with your school as to what they will accept, if anything, for acceleration. ALEKS and AOPS have Algebra 2 classes.
There’s several online course providers where you can take algebra 2 over the summer. Some providers are self paced and you can start even before the summer. FLVS, VHS, CTY, and Northwestern GLL are a few providers. Make sure that it is accredited. Some states have free online course providers if you are a resident (like FLVS), so depending where you live you can research your state’s online course provider or ask your counselor if the school has a partnership with an online provider to offer you classes. This can help you save a lot of money because the course providers I mentioned can get expensive. I took AP Psychology through Northwestern GLL and really enjoyed it. I took it over a period of around 7 months and it was nice to have the flexibility with my instructor. If you have questions about my experience with online courses and GLL let me know!
