How was AP Biology?

is this enough for a 5?

MC
14 blank
10 wrong

FR
8,3,9,4

yes (10 char)

I'm pretty sure that this could calculate your rough score... without the national curve..

MC score unweighted = (right) - (.25)(wrong)
MC score weighted = MC score unweighted.9

FRQ score weighted = FRQ score unweighted*1.5

add the unweighted score and there you go

5 is roughly 90-150
4 70-89
3 50-69
2 30-49
1 0-29

It was harder than the Chem exam, which is opposite what I expected.

so who thinks there's going to be a slightly more generous curve on this test than on past tests?

by the way, to those of you who thought the test was pretty hard/extremely hard... did you guys actually think you'd breeze through the test? i'm trying to figure out if the test was just naturally hard even for people who were made for HYPS or if some of us just have crummy teachers.

For me, it was a real medium-to-aaaaaaah because I thought a lot of the subject material tested was irrelevant compared to past year's, with an amazing amount of specific details needed to answer the MCQ. I was able to answer questions more with random things I learned from documentaries or Wikipedia than with actually studying..recall memory is so useful 8D

I think it was just okay though, in the end. I left 10 blank and wrote 2+ pages for each FRQ, so I'm hoping to get a 5.

Literally everyone who took the test last year in my school save for 2 people got a 5, they said it was super easy, so I'm guessing they changed the test radically.

Literally everyone who took the test last year in my school save for 2 people got a 5, they said it was super easy, so I'm guessing they changed the test radically.

Exactly, even the slackers got 4's in my school; it was pretty much 5's all around. I did notice that they 180'd the material around from last year's exam though..

I actually thought that the MC wasn't very hard, but I dont think I did well on the FRQs. #3 was probably best for me, and I loved #1c. I think I probably got a 4.

The MC was harder than I expected, but the Free Response was easier than I expected so I guess it balances out.

Am i the only one who thinks that MC was pretty easy?
I mean, i ommited 5, and guessed on like 10 ( which i reasoned through).
I finished early and checked through most of the questions over again.
Then for the FRQs .. some of them I didn't know so I skipped those sections, but i wrote plenty of actual facts and bs for the essays which ended up being SOO effing long.
my hand was tired by the end of the exam. haha

They were pretty easy but I expected them to be easier from the practice tests. I expected to know almost all of the questions, but alas, I didnt.

I had 20 minutes to look over the mc test at the end. SO i decided to really review how ineffective the test was at testing our knowledge. At first i thought it was me, but i realized that it was leaned a bit toward the lame side.
A) coutned 25 specific questions that were insignificant
B) ommitted much classification and evolution (didn't see proportionate # questions only 9 combined)
C) some answer descriptions sucked. They used pompov's salivating dogs for the answer to a Fixed-action pattern

I'm still confident i got the 5, but i was so angry after the MC that i calculated some of this information. Really exasperating.

There was wayy to much irrelevant stuff on there.

Why didn't they have more on cells, DNA replication and stuff?

^^^cuz that stuff sucks, i thought the test was perfect

I'm pretty confident that I got a 5.

After reviewing my cliffs, I felt like I knew enough to write the test. Free responses were a piece of cake since they gave you options

MC was hard at times... for me it got progressively harder as it went on.

However, the test was much easier than the practice tests I took, overall I'm very pleased.

General consensus from the people at my school who lightly studied a couple days before was that they got screwed though.

C) some answer descriptions sucked. They used pompov's salivating dogs for the answer to a Fixed-action pattern

That wasn't the right answer, it was ***************** (I remember the answer but am too paranoid and think CB is monitoring this thread O_o)

I know I'm crazy

no way, the fixed action pattern was the bird.

Bird .

Graylag geese are the bomb.
