err i'm almost sure that's an old curve (aka the one in my PR 2004-2005) they changed it so there's only 100 multiple choice, so that equation, i don't think works.

Quote from Jenife:

"Um. Please help. I didn't write my AP Number on the pages of the Free Response Booklet that I used. Did the proctor tell you guys to? I forgot. Will this affect my score...?"

No, you only need to write your AP number on the additional pages of paper you use for free response questions. If, for example, you ran out of room for an answer, the proctor would give you a separate piece of paper that you would need to write your AP number on so that the graders could identify that separate piece of paper with your free response booklet.

I just do 60% of what I got right on MC and add to that how many I got right on the FRQ (as it is already out of 40) and then just go by percents.

I think I got 75-82 MC and 26-30 FRQ. The MC estimate is a bit conservative though. Should be a 5...

I thought the MC was evil (because of some of the topics tested) even though I only skipped 2 and probably got only 7-8 wrong. Thank you rote memorization.

FRQ 1 wasn't so bad and neither was part of FRQ 3. I bs'd FRQ 4 since I had no formal knowledge on it. And luckily, because I studied FRQ 2 the day before the test, I answered that pretty well too.

I'm not gonna ask a dumb question now like "Do you think I'll get a 5" I'm pretty sure I'll get one...unless my FR really sucked or I got A LOT more wrong on the MC than I expected.

I thought MC wasn't that bad actually - only left one blank on the matching section because I had absolutely no clue what the answer was. On some questions though, I eliminated the choices down to two or three, and guessed on those. I'm the type of person that likes to fill every bubble in, even though I might not be 100% sure on the answer. ;/

The FRQ.. I liked ^ ^. I think I did pretty well on 4, but on 1, 2, and 3, I think I got an average of about 5-7 for each, since I knew some parts but ended up bsing the other parts that I didn't know about.

Hoping for a 5~~~~.

wow
a lot of it was common sense no?

I agree on the common sense part, but some of it required pure memorization. If you memorized it, you would have known it, but otherwise.. You most likely wouldn't have been able to figure it out just by looking at the question/answer choices.

I really didn't feel good about the multiple choice at all...there were a lot I had absolutely no clue about. The FRQ's weren't that bad, really. I had no idea about parts of a few, but I managed to BS my way through them. I'm look at a four, but with the curve, possibly a five.

Props to my SAT II's in May. There were questions in there that helped me today.

It is a joke. Should call this AP Botany Exam. I did OK, but was very prepared equally in other areas very well. Very biassed exam and I hope the curve will be biassed for us to get a '5'.

JAY

ah this test was horrible. i just googled the real answers to the frqs and i def didnt write any of that down. my teacher didnt even cover those topics. we focused on DNA and darwin. seriously i will be lucky if i get a 3. i wrote a lot but most of it probably wont make sense. and if my teacher gets it to read (she is a reader) she will probably be like how did this girl have an A in my class. ='/

some of it was common sense (weird molecule matching one and the RNA/DNA stuff), but a lot required specific knowledge, such as info on the certain taxa of plants outside of the usual angiosperm/gymnosperm etc..

FRQs were pretty easy, although i did a practice Cliffs essay yesterday almost identical to #2 :D

When do we get our scores?

misterwang - according to collegeboard, 3rd week of july. but if your school screws up somewhere along the line (like mine...) then maybe early/mid august

you can get it by phone in the first week of july I think (costs $$ though, typical CB)

MC was impossible.

MC was meh... a lot of questions I ended up narrowing it down to 2 (probably like 30) and picked the one I thought seemed right.

I thought the FRQ's were easy though. I admit I BS'd the last part of the last question, but everything else wasn't bad.

So.... 30 wrong in the MC, 3 skipped... 30/40 for the FRQ.. Would that be good enough for el 5?

I'm pretty sure i got a 5 on this test! It was a BREEZE!!!

complete self study, studied pretty hard the day/morning before it and I think I pulled off a 4. Woohoo.

MC wasn't too bad. A lot of questions were VERY similar to the questions in the Cliffs quizzes at the end of each lesson. I'm glad there wasn't too much cellular respiration or cellular division on there because those were my two weaknesses.

i thought the test was kind of medium.

I answered all the questions but probably got 20-25 wrong and I'm confident I got at least 20 points on the essays...is that enough for a 5?? Idk what I'm going to do with myself until July 15.

yes, it should be
