Just wondering how it was yesterday. Anyone want to share some experiences

Lots of good info, everything ran pretty smoothly and I was able to declare for my major early because I’m finishing my last prereq this summer. Being able to choose the optional presentations was also very helpful; the career center choice in particular was helpful for people that are interested in graduate school/career/internship/networking stuff.

Would recommend.

honestly everything they tell you, you should already know if you did some research.

Major advising was worth while because I was able to declare my major. Beyond that, it’s pretty much, you can find it on the internet.

My kind of people, Cal people, by the way. Everyone was cool as $hit.

sounds great. stoked for July 1!!!

I thought it was lame that media studies couldn’t declare our major (or so our advisor told us). Where and how did you guys declare your major?

Half way through lunch we had to go back to our major advisers and then we filled out, and signed, some paperwork.

@Dango

For psych we did this during our initial major advising period. Either completed prereqs or prereq in progress during summer before were aloud to submit.

lol dango, that dude seemed so out of it. luckily, my other major let me declare it during the “running errands” time.

It was kinda cool. I new much of the stuff already. The best parts for me were the free food, meeting some people in my major, and Being able to sign up for classes.

It was weird though because I am already here in berkeley taking summer courses. So I already have my Cal 1 card, and I have already talked to my major adviser. And I actually had to miss my lecture to go to calso.

@absurdmike

free food? haha you PAID for it buddy! where else did your $100 go? LOL

The chance to sign up for classes as early as I could was the reason why I went to CalSO. That’s what I payed the 100 for in my mind, everything else was just a bonus :D

wait mike, are you a philosophy major?

Yeppers. Why? Do you think I saw you there?

yup :D. I was in scott’s group. One of the two Michaels there. I shave my head and was barefoot. Who are you?

hahah no way! im jonathan (the korean guy)… we sat next to each other in the computer lab.

Haha, cool beans :D. It’s my first time meeting someone from the interwebs.

hahaha yeah! hows that logic class going?
