How well do you think you did on the AP US History Exam?

I thought the multiple choice was tough, but the essays were super easy. I'm thinking I got a 4, 5 if I'm lucky.

the curve, in my opinion, is going to be brutal. that was wayyyy too easy.

I got a 5.

The DBQ was complete crap.

If you mean “complete crap” in the way I think you do, yeah, the DBQ was ridiculously easy and extremely BSable. Everyone should get at least a 5 on that essay.

Well, it was just really hard to pull out outside information for it. And I totally wasn’t expecting anything from that time period… AT ALL. :(

How much did you write for the DBQ?

Would anyone be kind enough to tell me what my predicted score would be? I didn’t study enough. I’m expecting to miss lets say 25…left three blank and the rest correct

for the DBQ I would say a 5 and 3’s for the two FRQs… is that a three? :D

It’s a 3, though not far from a 4.

Tents,

80 - 25 = 55
55 - (22 x 0.25) = 49.5
49.5 x 1.125 = 55.7
55.7 + (5 x 4.5) = 78.2
78.2 + 2(3 x 2.75) = 94.7

74 - 91 = 3
92 - 113 = 4
114 - 180 = 5

So you would just sneak into the 4 range.

APUSH Calculator: [AP Pass - AP Us Calculator](AP U.S. History Test Score Calculator - AP Pass)

NO WAY. I’ve gotten a 4 on my AP European History exam last year, although I prepared for it a lot!

No offense to those who get lower than a 4… but that’s pretty scary how close I can get to a 4 with such **** FRQs O_O

The test was ridiculously easy and the curve should be ridiculously lenient as always. I can’t believe that people could fail this test.

Are curves pre-determined?

Pretty sure they’re not. The curve should be much more brutal this year.

I’m predicting around a 160-170 raw score.

^^No, but they are partially based on previous years

[AP: The Score-Setting Process](<a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>About AP Scores – AP Students | College Board)

Nah, it’s always pretty easy. A raw score north of 170 is nearly impossible, btw.

I agree, if I’m close to a 4 at with those points (and really, I think I did better than what I projected on my previous post) it has to be nearly impossible to fail the exam.

God, I hope I don’t sound arrogant or anything.

Sigh.

Tents, I calculated your score for you with the numbers you gave. Your score falls into the 4 range. Look above.

I know, I’m just saying. I thought I did pretty terrible and was expecting a 3. If my score is around the 4 range, given how terrible I believed I did then it must be nearly impossible to fail that AP exam without trying to fail it, you dig?

I’m awful at APUSH, and I’m fairly confident that I scored within the 4-5 range. The MC wasn’t a ridiculous slaughterhouse, and the essays were indeed extremely BS-able.

The problem, of course, is that the test itself was not that hard. And thus, the curve will be far higher. I’m guessing a 4, maybe a 5.

(MC: ~20 wrong, none blank
DBQ: FAR easier than expected, predicting 5-7
Essay 1: (did question 2) also far easier, predicting 8
Essay 2: (did question 5) mostly BS, predicting 4-5)

Did anyone else feel that the documents almost gave you too much info on the DBQ? I had trouble bringing out outside information, because nearly all of it was in the documents. >.<
