How were my grades for Junior Year?

These are all unweighted averages. Honors get 1.05 and APs get 1.10

English 3 H- 84
Spanish H- 72
History H- 89
African American Lit - 88
Physics H- 82
AP Government - 81
Gym- 93
Algebra 2 H- 82

Not particularly wonderful but it's not the end of the world either. Maybe average?

Grades are relative. Many of my friends would take those grades in a heartbeat, yet many people on this forum would throw up at the sight of them (I didn't). Junior year is the hardest year IMO, so I wouldn't worry about them.

I got screwed in at least 3 classes

everything is fine, except for spanish h, but overall they're okay. gym ftw

Did you honestly "try" during your Junior year?
Just curious.

^^^ Not always. I think HS classes before Middle school are the hardest, because you don't care as much. Then, when you get into HS you are dissapointed that you did not excel in the classes in MS.

Also, I took 6 IB classes this year, and I am a sophmore, so this year would be considered harder(since the classes I took were considered Junior classes)

I got a C in spanish in 9,10,11 grade

Which college are you aiming at?

@ HopefulCEO: If you went to my school, your grades would be: B, D+, B, B, C+, C+, B+, C+. -- GPA: 3.07
What grading scale does your school use?

HopefulCEO is going to an Ivy league

A= 90+
B=80-89
C=71-79
D=70
F= 69 below

Pretty good! At least, in the real world OUTSIDE of CC!

At my school you would have got C,D,B,B,C,C,A,C
A=93-100
B=85-92
C=77-84
D=77-70
F= 69 and down

Some schools have idiotic grading policies (mine included)

It's as easy as

Doesn't account for the -'s and +'s, but it's a start. I felt sorry for yayclass, you get a 92 at your school and it's a B or a 76 and it's a D. Nice.

In response to the idea that junior year is the hardest: I did progressively better every year in high school. Freshman year was my only sub-4.0 year, and I had something like a 4.6 - 4.7 senior year.

yup it sucks. we also dont have -'s and +'s. There are many students at my school with 90,91,and 92's who got a B.
