How and when do we accept the student loans/grants/aid? Is it all done on CARS? Is there a deadline?

go to bearfacts:

then sign in and on the top there should be a tab called financial aid and then click offer letter =)

Yeah I was also wondering about when the deadline is…

I would recommend ASAP. I don’t think there is an official deadline. Heck I waited until until October to fill out my Perkin’s Prom note and they gave me the money so If there is a deadline I’m sure it’s not close.

This question has already been asked several times.

There is no real deadline; just accept them sometime within the 2009-2010 school year. They are tetchy about disbursements outside their allotment, however; you will have a hard time collecting funds from fall semester in the spring semester, if they even allow it.

That said, the only effective deadline is to give them enough time to process your acceptance, check against your charges and disburse. They won’t disburse any early than the fall disbursement deadline (sometime about 5 days before school starts), but unless you need your loans to pay for fees it doesn’t matter. It usually takes them about 4 weeks to fully process a loan acceptance over any original amount; if you haven’t originally accepted anything (or declined), I believe it takes a matter of days.
