I'm taking spanish 3 at my school now and am not doing so good. I have a a grade which will probably end up in the mid 70s (a D in North Carolina because we have a 7 point grading scale). My teacher for this class was absolutely horrible. We were rarely taught (maybe once every week) and were mostly left to complete worksheets on our own. Those worksheets were rarely graded, and the same thing happened with projects. I took a test 2 months ago and still have not received my grade. we were not allowed to take text books home, however most of the people disobeyed this rule from the beginning of the year (i have started to do so as of a few weeks ago). what i am wondering is how this will affect my admission to college. i was thinking of southern cal, or georgetown, or GW, but i doubt that i could get in with these types of grades. my overall unweighted GPA as of the beginning of this year was a 3.6, and i was ranked 75th out of over 400 students. i don't have alot of extracurricular activities, but people keep telling me that because i am a black male i will have a huge advantage (i have a hard time believing this). i am taking 4 ap courses and have grades above 90 in all of them. i got a 210 on my PSAT and a 29 on my ACT. so basicily am i screwed because of this one grade, or do i still have hope of getting into the type of school that i want to?

***Yes i know my spelling in this is crap. Give me a break i've had a hard day.
