I've taken the sat and act once. On the sat I did alright, my best score was in math with a 700. When I took the act I got a 36 in English and a 33 in writing (and a 30 in science) which I was very happy with and I believe it redeems my okay reading and writing scores on the sat. However, I somehow managed to screw up in math and it hurt my composite score. I'm wondering if colleges will look at both test scores and see that I'm able to perform proficiently in all subject areas, just not on the same day (or same test), or if I should retake one of the tests (I'm already retaking the sat). Thanks!

?

I don’t know of any school that will use info from both tests like that. I would pick the one I feel better with an retake.

Yah unfortunately schools wont superscore, I guess, the ACT and SAT combined. But regardless, a 700 is not that strong for top tier schools. If you did just goof then retake the ACT in October and superscore the two together because your reading and writing are excellent (well actually reading is literally perfect). Good luck!
