How Will Dropping Honors Physics Affect My College Prospects?

Hi all,
I'm a senior at a competitive private NJ High School and I am pretty nervous about how dropping honors physics will affect my college choices. I was in the class for two months and ended with a 58 average, and I soon realized that though I was trying my hardest, I needed to make a change. I am in the top 10% of my class with a full honors/AP courseload and scored a 2070 on the SAT (660 CR, 650 M, 760 W). I've listed my college list below. How do you think dropping Physics H will affect me?

Northwestern (ED)
UMich
Villanova
BC
UCLA
UC Berkeley
Fordham
USC
William & Mary
NYU
Amherst
Rutgers
TCNJ
Lehigh

Thanks!

I think it depends on what you plan on majoring in…

My major will likely be journalism or creative writing.

You will be much better off with a strong grade in a regular course than a very low grade in an honors course. If it were between a B in the honors course and an A in a regular course, you’d be better off in honors. But, your situation was extreme and you did the right thing to drop down.

Have you taken physics previously?

If you really can’t pass the course, I would advise you to drop it.
