how will it be hard for me to transfer to Purdue University?

I am currently IUB student. I came to IU for majoring in economics.
However, I want to change major to computer science/engineering so that's why I want to transfer to Purdue University.

I am....

1.I was studying at private school in Korea (But, I am U.S Citizen),and have scores which is not in GPA scales.(Class ranks are like top halves).

2.I am currently freshman, having first semester.

3.I got all A for this semester and have confident to maintain GPA through next semester.
(for GPA scales, my goal is to have over 3.5 out of 4.0)
4.I also have 490 CR, 690 MATH, 470 Writing scores on SAT1, 87 TOEFL scores(since English is not my native language).
5.I got A+ on Calculus 1 this semester and am going to take Cal2,Physics 1 next semester.
maybe I also can ask recommendation letter to the calculus professor because he knows I've studied really hard.

6.I dropped Computer science class this semester, and I am going to take it again next semester at IU. (after I dropped this class, I was figuring out computer science is all my life).

7.I am living in indiana, but it will take one more year to be in-state student.

I am planning on applying to Purdue University before the end of next semester, wondering how it will be competitive for me.

your stats for engineering look low, but then again, your first semester college grades are good. Purdue is a tough tough program for engineering. The do tend though, to allow MORE kids into the program and give them a chance and allow them to drop out or excel than other schools. You just never know, based on H.S. and test results and I like Purdue’s approach. They kick butt though be prepared for very tough classes, working round the clock and low class averages
