1) Ok, I went to the University of Colorado for a while, and my cumulative GPA there was a 2.25. I then came home to California and attended a CCC, where I have completed 31 units with a 3.9 GPA. I applied to UCLA, UCSD, and UCSB. On the app, the only classes that said "CCCT" next to them, are obviously the ones that I took at the CCC. So technically, to them, will I have a 3.9? or are they going to combine the classes since the others are at a 4 year? or will they transfer since they are a 4 year, but not count towards my GPA?

2) Also, if they do combine it, I retook some courses there to replace some F's. I was an idiot at the time and replaced some F's with F's but others with A's, however upon entering the courses on the UC app, I had to put in all of the grades... Will they take only the most recent grade for those courses? and also, one that I retook, has a different course code, but still replaced the course, will they be able to find that out?

Any help is appreciated. I made some mistakes at the beginning of college, obviously, and now I regret it, obviously. Anyway, I'm tripping out these days as I wait forever for acceptance (or denial) letters, so I am just looking around for reassurance.
I still think I may have a decent chance at UCSB. My cumulative GPA for both schools is a 2.9, maybe 3.0, and by the time of transfer I will have another 18 units done which will leave me with IGETC completed. I will have a total of about 80 units by this time as well, maybe a few more. I also have been doing a lot of volunteer work and am in the honors society at my ccc, but I'm sure no one really cares about that, I'm once again trying to reassure myself. But anyway, thanks for any help or insight.
Oh, and if anyone has read this far, if you have any idea of my chances, feel free to let me know what you think.

When they consider your GPA, they're going to look at primarily at your "UC Transferable GPA". This will include, of course, all of your CCCT classes. It will also include any classes from out of state that will transfer in.

I believe that if you got a D or an F they will only take the most recent grade. Not entirely sure, though.

The latest grades they will count are your Fall, or maybe your semester system winter intersession grades.

There's going to be a very wide confidence interval on your chances. There's so many factors at play that you might have a decent shot at any of the schools you mentioned.

We might be able to give you a better idea if we knew:
Your major and in-major transferable GPA.
More about your soft factors and how well you portrayed them in your essays.
More specifics about your grade trends.

Hey, thanks for the info and kind words.
haha, in Colorado, I just had no motivation in life coupled with no direction... I was smoking pot, and also just had a lack of confidence and kind of got scared to go to my classes after I would get a bad grade on something.

I portrayed my factors in my essay decently. I was really stressed on time, but I basically put down my college timeline, and kind of left a message that- Yes I made mistakes, but I would not be where I am today if not for learning from those mistakes. All in all, Im really not happy with my essay that I turned into the UC's but it is still decent.

As far as my Major GPA, it is a 4.0, but I have not taken too many classes in my major.... Just some econ, and computer Apps. I figure that I want to save the good classes for when I transfer so Ill really get educated well in my area of study. For the first time in my life, I am really enthused by school and can honestly say I love it and really want to get as much as I can out of it.

I am working on right now and am almost finished with revising the essay and turning it into one that really portrays me well, and is very well written. I am so happy with it that I think it will be my only asset when applying to USC.

If anyone else would like to throw in some input or anything, the more the better, so feel free.
Thanks again to those who did respond. It put a smile on my face. As Im sure you all know, waiting for "the letters" of acceptance or denial can be a stressful time.

Also, if anyone would like, I can send you the essay I used, just for sort of a review. Its not necessary but if anyone is bored, that would be cool to get some feedback on how bad/good it is.

Also, I have one other question: I just was reviewing my app., and when putting down my classes taken on the App. I noticed I accidentally put that I got an A+ in one of my classes. My ccc doesnt have +'s or -'s, so should I send a letter to all of the schools I applied to? Or do you think they would just dismiss it when they get my transcripts?

If it was too far back to fix it with the app update, I'd send them a note. They probably won't care, but if you send them a note you're sure not to have an offer rescinded.
