Well, the junior year is winding to a close. Now I have to start worrying about senior year.

My 9-period schedule, as I requested it, included the following classes:

Health/Phys. Ed (required)
Study Hall (required for participation in Peer Leadership)
AP English Literature and Composition
AP Statistics
AP US Government and Politics
AP Chemistry (two-period course)
AP Spanish Language
Government and Law Related Experiences (GALRE)

Unfortunately, my school is not very flexible with scheduling. I am already taking a required Personal Finance course on-line to work more classes into my schedule, but they were still unable to accomodate this schedule. Now, the way things fall, I have two options.

Drop AP Statistics and take a lunch period.

Drop AP Chemistry and take a lunch period and an additional study hall period.

Obviously, a two-period AP class is weighted more heavily than a one-period AP class. Based on GPA alone, it would be to my advantage to take AP Chem. However, I plan on majoring in business (where statistics are heavily used) or political science (where statistics are also used). Neither requires any background in chemistry.

Please help. This is a big decision and I could use any insight possible. I hope against hope to get into a top level college, but I don't know if they will look more heavily at the difficulty of the coursework or the type of coursework.

As always, thanks in advance for any advice!
