So I will finish out junior year with a 3.45-3.5 Unweighted gpa. My weighted will be a 3.67 around.
My sat is a 1100, i cant improve on that anymore
i used to live in nc then i moved to va. How will they look at this. My extracurricular is 2 years of basketball and 1 year of hockey with couple of volunteer hours, spanish club. I will be first to attend college.
Anyway my weighted is kind of low so how will they look at that. It is like impossible to raise it because freshmen and sophmore year they dont offer ap classes so basically even if i have a 4.0 weighted as a junior when it averages it will become a 3.7
What are my chances please reply and if you also applied what were your stats and did you get accepted/deffered/denied
yes i understand my chances are harder as an oos with lower gpa and sat. hopeing now and taking advice.
I don’t really know what your chances are, but I would look at the average SAT scores of the specific program at NC State you’re wanting to attend, since it’s different for each college within the school. If your high school doesn’t offer AP classes the first two years, no school can hold that against you, so I wouldn’t worry about that (that’s why they ask for a school report in the common app, it tells them info like this). And if you’re a first gen student, that could really set you apart from other applicants with the same stats. I hope this helps!
Oh and my stats are in the NC state 2023 results thread, but I’m in-state so I don’t know how much that’ll help
