How will UCs view online courses?

I'm planning to take AP Physchology and Honors Sociology online, does anyone think this a good idea?

you're fine for UCs, but if you want to apply to other schools, you'll have to contact them...especially the private ones.

GG:
It's best to contact UC directly on this, because of the fact that not all online coursework is "created equal," or viewed equally. If you were taking those courses through UCCP, it's automatic that they're accepted & viewed favorably. There are many other fine high school online academic resources, but again, just check with U.C. as to the particular online institution. As to the choice of those particular subjects, since those 2 are so conceptual & foundational, those are the best kind to do online. Where it gets dicey are the hard sciences & foreign language. Even UCCP offers those 2 latter choices, but it's a pain to find live labs to connect with, & the right audio to match your needs, etc.
Good luck to you.

How do you take AP courses online? I'm really interested in this since our school doesn't offer ANY AP courses at all...

I'm in So. Cal. Several kids from our HS took online through BYU and I think (?) I remember that the UCs changed their stance on that sometime in the last year. You should absolutely check with the UC first. If you are in CA you might consider doing the CC route instead. Not only would you know the credit was good, it is a good experience to go to school with older students, more diverse population of students, etc.
