Basically we set up a date/time for an interview this Friday but now she is asking for me to include “my current availability.”
Currently though;
May 17-26 = I have classes from 10-3 M-Th
May 31+ = I have my current job which varies week-by-week
May 31-July 31 = I have a class during 8pm-10:45pm M-Th
Like I’m definitely willing to quit my current job, but I’m just unsure how to list it, like do I say in the email following a 2 week notice of the job offer, I can work anytime before 7pm (I want to give myself some time to get from work to school).
Also should I even include my availability this week and next?
As for availability, I could begin any time after May 31 provided I have given my current employer 2 weeks notice. In both June and July, I have a commitment which requires that I leave by 7:00; this should not interfere with the arrangement we’ve been discussing.
To clarify, is she talking about availability for interview or start date pending an offer? It’s possible that a conflict came up for this Friday and she’s rescheduling and also possible that she wants to ensure that you’re able to start at a given time. It would be kind of weird to talk about start dates considering you haven’t even met yet unless it really is a time sensitive role (which would usually be outlined in the recruitment post or you would be notified of ahead of time).
