How do I phrase my availability in an email for an internship

Basically we set up a date/time for an interview this Friday but now she is asking for me to include “my current availability.”

Currently though;

  • May 17-26 = I have classes from 10-3 M-Th
  • May 31+ = I have my current job which varies week-by-week
  • May 31-July 31 = I have a class during 8pm-10:45pm M-Th

Like I’m definitely willing to quit my current job, but I’m just unsure how to list it, like do I say in the email following a 2 week notice of the job offer, I can work anytime before 7pm (I want to give myself some time to get from work to school).

Also should I even include my availability this week and next?

Well, they are trying to figure out if they can fit into the schedule for when they need someone. I would say that your classes are over as of May 26, but you need to give 2 weeks notice at your current job (but might be able to start part time before that 2 weeks is up). Unless it seems like the type of job that normally goes into evenings (not an office type job), I would not mention the night class.

@intparent It’s an accounting internship for a waste management business so I wouldn’t think it would go into the evenings.

In that case i would not mention the evening class at all.
