But your SSAT score is a better judge than grades I think… So maybe schools will take that into account. The competition this year is looking tough. I hear that for some schools, 25% of applicants aren’t qualified enough. But that still leaves so many kids… And based on my calculations schools only take about 100 kids of each gender for 9th grade.
Oh god…hopefully my SSAT score will balance out my math grade, because my other grades are all A+s, As, and A-s.
@skieurope You’re in high school?
@HistoryGeek40 oh my god, I had the same idea! good luck!
@CaliCash Yes, for a couple more months
@skieurope Oh wow! I thought that you were an adult since you were a moderator
He is, probably. (Over age 18, that is.)
OMG! How do you know that 25% of applicants aren’t qualified? And for which schools? If you don’t feel comfortable posting the info in public, PLEASE pm me. What if I’m in that 25%… @goldenfygg
@mathman1201: For Andover, it says that: “approximately 75% of the applicant pool is academically admissible. Your stories and personal qualities made you stand out in this extraordinary pool.”…this may be where @goldenfygg saw that.

Yup, that’s where I got the info.
Oh, so we now have like a 10% higher chance of being admitted because we in the better part of the 75% (assuming that we are indeed ofcourse)?
@whimsicalwhims: I guess, but the number is lower for those with FA probably
But isn’t Andover need blind?
@goldenfygg: Oops, I completely forgot. Thanks for the reminder.
Need-blind doesn’t mean FP and FA get in at the same rate. Just sayin’.
@mathman1201 skieurope is a she. omg I also thought it was a he the first time lol.
@vanillapuff No, he said he was a he.
No. 17.
Not that it matters, but just to clear things up, are you a he or a she? @skieurope
@skieurope if you don’t mind me asking what schools did you apply for??
