How would you get an LOA before your congressional interview?

You mean 2013. Our s took his first SAT in May of Soph yr(2006) before he took PSAT. Took his second in Sep.(2006) of his JR b4 the PCQ, his final in Oct of his SR (2007) . He took his ACT in Nov of SR yr for Notre Dame reqs. His trancript showed his scores for the earlier testing. We put the Acad. as direct score recipient and his scores were posted on his file within 1-2 days of on-line viewing...showing his highest score (AFA superscores). S only took ACT once, the scores were good (above avg) and we didn't force another

Bulletandpima,
My other d will be attending Howard Payne Univ. in Brownwood, TX. She has been accepted into the Gen. MacArthur Academy of Freedom which is their Honors Political Science program. She will be much closer to home (only 2 hours) as opposed to the AFA which is almost 700 miles away.

I wouldn't worry about it too much, Prolouge (other than keeping up hard work in school). In three years a lot can change with the system.

txtwinmom, my s applied for Gemstone at U of MD for poli sci, if he doesn't get into the AFA, then he'll go AFROTC at UMD or Notre Dame

AZ...I am confused I thought Prologue is a JR, which means in the next 6 weeks he can start the process...did I miss a beat? (i have been known to do that)

bulletandpima: Prologue is an 8th grader (AFA c/o 2016), not a JR.

Thanks...as an OP he did not state that, he did state 2012. I re-read the thread and did not see anything about his grade

Prologue...life will change, the world will change, the military will change. Before you make a decision make sure you want to wear the uniform and are willing to take any assignent that they give you...Korea...Iceland...North Dakota. It can happen.

If you are in 8th grade, than take the best courses available, get into sports, apply for SLS. Join CAP and JROTC. Follow this site, go to www.usafa.edu for class profiles, be proactive, not reactive. It is great you know your dream...keep following it
