Which CSU’s do you consider in the top 10? Ranking based on a specific program? Location? Overall academics?
they don’t really stack rank very neatly. If you are a STEM major, or for CS, SJSU leaps above many others. for most programs, SLO and SDSU are at the top. Then, LB, Fullerton, Northrdge CPP and Chico are pretty tightly clustered, your major and other interests would tip the scales one way or another. Then Fresno, Sonoma, Sac,SJSU, SF, Humboldt, San Marcos and the rest. Also, there are unique attributes or programs that make one campus uniquely appealing. Wine biz at Sonoma, viticulture at Fresno, ‘college town’ SLO and Chico and perhaps Humboldt - which also is uniquely great for forestry. .
For most majors they offer, a new school like Channel Island or Monterrey will still provide a solid education and good career prospects.
You need to decide what’s important to you.
