How's everyone doing?

Alright, so it's almost the new year!! Happy New Year's everyone! But, that also means that auditions are coming up SOON... Some of you have probably already had some auditions!

Anyways, for those of us who haven't began our audition tours yet, I'm curious... How prepared is everyone as of today? Has everyone found all their monologues? How many are you preparing? How rehearsed are they? If you had to audition tomorrow, would you be ready? And, if you haven't auditioned anywhere yet, when is your first one? Mine is UCLA in a few weekends (either 1/16 or 1/17).

Break a leg, everyone!

Whoa! It’s weird to think auditions are coming up so quickly…

Luckily I was able to do a music theater camp over the summer which prepared us for the audition process. So I have all of my material picked out (and I feel good knowing that people in the business helped me find it) but I need to start revisiting it in preparation for auditions. They were good in the summer but they may be a bit rusty now!

I still have about two weeks until my first audition (Syracuse) so I’m not panicking yet…

Good luck to you operationgold7 and everyone else!

Haha yeah. My first audition is in two weeks (Syracuse).

I’m pretty prepared as of now, seeing as I have my monologues and they’re all memorized and researched. I’m slightly nervous about the auditions in general though because I’m not sure how great the contrast should be between monologues.

Other than that, I’m pretty psyched.

Good luck to everyone, it should be a lot of fun!

it is coming up so quickly! my auditions start in the beginning of February. I have found all but one of my monologues and they are memorized. I keep having bad dreams that I forget something  break a leg everyone!!!

Good luck to Actor and College 182 on your Syracuse auditions. My D is a senior in the MT program there, so feel free to PM me if you have any questions about the school.

Good luck, operation, at UCLA. That’s where my D is and she loves it!

AH! I’ve started to freak out about auditions. Unfortunately, my friend dropped a very big bomb on me the other day and I’ve had a hard time bouncing back.

Anyway, I have ten monologues. My first audition is at NYU on the 22 and then DePaul the 23 and UIC the 25. I feel ok. Not completely ready. I’ve got to get myself in high gear I suppose

Break a leg to everyone auditioning!

haha wow its crazy we’re all auditioning for colleges now huh? Well i only have 6 monos at the ready. two H and two D and then one classical H and one classical D. I also have a song prepared even though i’m going into drama and not MT (some colleges ask to see a song as well). I’ve had some pretty good success at auditions so far and ive only had to use 4 ofmy mono (1 H 1 Classical H, 1 D and one classical D). Thats really all you need but some people feel better if they have more at the ready.

well break a leg to us all for the upcoming auditions
