How's it going so far?

How's everyone doing in their classes? In AP Biology we got back our first test and I got a 74% on it yay~! The test was curved so everyone got extra points. I'm doing fine in my history class, and Latin is really fun and our teacher is the best. The only thing I'm shaky about is AP Chemistry. We took our MC portion of our Ch. 4 test on Aqueous Solution and Solution Stoichiometry. The MC was pretty easy, simple Molarity questions, color of metals cations, lab questions and a lot of theory.

How's is going so far for you guys?

AP Chemistry is going great! Our last test my teacher was ranting about how people still didn’t know their elements or the solubility rules…

Well, for the most part, pretty great. I’m maintaining A’s and A+'s in all of my AP’s. Latin’s a good time, I really like it. I’m gonna do some extra credit this weekend for it (out of boredom, not need - I have a 110 in the class, lol.) Uh, I’m a little anxious about Studio Art - I have a 90.0 flat, and the quarter closes next Friday. I spoke with my teacher and he doesn’t think I’m going to slip into a B+ or anything but still, I’m nervous.

I have a test tomorrow in Trig which will either make me or break me pretty much, lol.

But other than that - great. Everything is great.

-Honors Chemistry (No AP for sophomores)- Going Well I have an A (we don’t do A+ etc)
-Honors Algebra II…-Thats a whole other story. Lets, just say, I have a B.
-AP Environmental Science: Great! I have an A  Hardest class ever though! 3rd Hardest at my school
-AP Psychology: So easy for me, usually all APs are Junior/Senior classes here, so when my other fellow sophomore friends said they got in I was shocked, they all have like 79% (C)
-AP Human Geography: This I’m taking online…It must be a joke right?? I have a 112.7%

I’m ready for next years classes. I have pre calc and the rest history language and english

Latin: This is going pretty good. I mean, I definitely could’ve gotten higher grades on certain tests and stuff but I’m pretty happy with my 98.16. I just hope I can keep it like that for the entire semester (Block scheduling)

H. English: I’m pretty happy with my grade right now-- 98.12. There wasn’t really anything I could’ve done much better on, considering the only grade lower than a 100 was a major paper, on which it’s quite impossible to get a 100.

APUSH: I was super excited about having a 99.27 up until today, when I took a quiz on 2 chapters and got an 86, which brought my grade down to a 98. I know that’s still good, but I was just so happy to have a 99 in my first AP class, and I DEFINITELY could have gotten a 106 on that (there’s a bonus). I totally slacked off with studying last night and I completely regret it now.

Theology: I’m doing well. I have a 100.2, but I’m kinda upset because my teacher gave me a 98 on a paper we recently wrote and she took off for the most stupid things. But I still have >100 in that class, so it’s all good for now.

Sorry, I seem like such a freak, haha. Today was not a good day grade-wise. I just hate making stupid mistakes like not studying for stuff and I always get really angry at myself when I end up getting a bad grade. But overall, I’m happy with how I’m doing and I really hope to maintain these grades all year!

Chemistry honors: 89.7, will be A- after teacher enters grades in.
English Hon: A 95 All is good
AP Euro: B 85 highest in school. It’ll be an A eventually.
Student Body: 100 so much fun, I wish I could have two periods of this.
Precalc honors: A- 91 doing great when comparing lack of effort. I got 100 on a test today, once that’s entered in ill have an A.
Spanish 2: B+ 87 I’m sitting nearly slightly friendlier people and don’t hate the class as much. Once the teacher enters stuff in ill have around a 94

Yeah my teachers are so behind in grading.

Good, but I have no idea what I really have in math and WHAP because they haven
t updated their grades for awhile. Oh well, will find out in due time. I was surprised that my 95 in English was one of the highest (1 other had a 95, possibly 2, can
t remember) and I was mad for getting a 95, could
ve done better. Science is a 92, and I
m kicking myself over that, but ah well.

^That’s still good though, my 74% test grade in AP Biology brought my grade down to a 85 from a 89, and the term ends in two weeks. I really want an A in that class lol.

Not too good, 89 average :frowning: (although I do go to a competitive private school, and there are only 4 other kids in my grade taking this hard of a schedule, no body has a harder one)
Morality (Mandatory, no honors)- 94
Hon Pre Calc- 94
Hon Physics- 88
Hon World Lit- 84
Hon USH 2- 93
AP Chem- 78 :frowning:
AP Spanish Lang- 88

Self Studying AP Psych, Enviro Sci, Human Geo, US Gov and Comp Gov
All while training in fall for varsity spring sport, tutoring twice a week for 3 hours, volunteering, 7 clubs.
Still trying to get my SAT scores up as well, practice as much as I can
I tend to get home around 7, eat , go on social media for 1 hr-1.5 hrs, then do HW from then until I fall asleep :frowning:
Have to do for tomorrow:
-Chem Lab, Test, Chapter O/L and all problems due tomorrow
-Write summary for a spanish book (written in spanish)
-Pre Calc probs

 • Physics probs due at midnight
 • read part of a book
 • study for a test to get into a history club
 • write a Model UN position paper, due Saturday

This AP chem is killing me, we are already on chapter 9/23 in our book a month and half into school. This covalent bonding test tomorrow will bury me.

^ Same, AP Chemistry is like kissing death in the face. I’m holding on to a 82% right now, I just hope I do well on the FR portion of the test of Monday. Eeek~!

APUSH is going extremely well - 100 average.
Honors Lit is also going well - holding a steady 93.
Honors Physics is OK - bombed the last test on projectile motion :frowning:
Honors Pre-Calc is well … math and very hard!
Honors Advanced Spanish - also going pretty well!
Yearbook is great - fun easy class :)!

AP Physics C (Both): I actually love this class. I love physics to begin with, and my teacher is pretty good, and the subject material is awesome. If I don’t have like a 100% right now I’m going to be annoyed.

AP Calc: I love this class too. The teacher is fantastic, the material is really interesting (I love math), and overall a great class. Probly high 90’s right now.

AP Lit: A lot of fun. We have very few essays compared to AP Lang last year, and we have awesome debates every single day. It’s great: I get to argue with others every day.

And then…there’s the rest…
AP Bio: Boring as hell. I swear to god, I will shoot something if I hear one more thing about photosystem 2 or the damned-to-hell Calvin Cycle.
AP Gov: Quite possibly the worst class ever. We do nothing but talk about Mitt Romney and Obama every day. I don’t know what we’re going to do for the AP, but since I’m an Engineering major anyway, it doesn’t even matter. Screw this class man.

Well the Calvin Cycle…;)

Pretty good, pretty good. I finished my first quarter of high school with all A’s, had a restful two week fall break, and am about to finish the first week of the second quarter. I think I’m just gonna discuss my first quarter grades, since there are like no grades in the quarter 2 gradebook yet.

French 1: Not bad. It comes pretty easily to me. I ended the quarter with a 99 and the teacher said she may put me in French 2 next semester.

TV Production: Ended with a 97. For every video project I was grouped with the most idiotic kids ever. I hate this class. We do absolutely nothing in there and I’m really peeved with my eighth grade self for choosing this as one of my electives. I’m hoping I can switch out and fulfill my health requirement next semester.

Honors English: Ended the quarter with a 97. Doing really well in this class. The teacher has confided in me that she realizes I’m the smartest one in the class.

Honors Algebra 2: Ended the quarter with a 99. Most boring class ever.

Honors Biology: Ended with a 94. The highest score I got on any of the tests last quarter was an 86. The only thing keeping me afloat was the homework, classwork, etc. So far in the quarter the only assignment in the grade book is a lab report which I got a 93 on. Hopefully I’ll do well on next week’s test (doubt it).

Honors World History: Easiest class ever. Got/currently have a 100. She’s got pretty low standards and accepts all late work. You just have to act like a frazzled freshman who’s still getting used to high school. But she’s said she’s not gonna be as gentle this quarter, which is no big deal for me because I never took advantage of her late work-acceptingness.

@Swinter…so in other words, currently you have a 100 in every class? Or a 0, if ya think about it. ;)

Yes, last year I had Intro To Media and…had kid(s) in there like you described, and then I later found out I didn
t have to take it for Journalism 2 in 10th grade if I had a teacher rec. Wish I
d known earlier, but I liked the teacher, oh well.

A+ in AP US GOV. nuff for me

Honors Precalc: Going way better than I expected! Algebra 2 made no sense to me last year and I was set on taking regular Precalc, and was even worried about that, but right before school started switched to honors, and I got a really good teacher. I’ve understood everything we’ve done so far, I just have to spend extra time practicing because of my weak background. But all is good, I have a 92.2% right now.

AP Lang: Still really easy. The in class essays are tough, but I just need to get the hang of them. I have a 93.6% right now.

AP Physics B: Very difficult, but fun at the same time. There are some concepts that I still don’t get, and anything that is added onto them just confuses me more. However, everything we’ve done this week has been independent of those concepts, and I’ve aced both quizzes and finished our homework with ease. I have 53.4% right now, which is a B- on his scale.

AP Psychology: Almost too easy, fun, and interesting. I have about a 104%.

APUSH: Stupidest class ever, not learning anything, teacher sucks, have a 119.4%.

AP English Lit: My teacher is pretty unclear with the assignments but grades harshly.

AP Comp Sci: My teacher takes off a lot of points for small mistakes.

AP Gov: I don’t like my teacher, but she’s fair.

AP Calc BC: My teacher always yells about how we don’t care and will all get 1s on the AP. His tests are also really hard.

Gym: I usually don’t like gym, but I do now.

AP Physics: The class is so hard that the average score on the first test was a 40%, and that was AFTER he curved it. Also, we had a test today that I didn’t know about.

Japanese: Boring but easy.

APUSH - The essays are killing me. When we get to redo the essays (in other words, I can take an hour or two and go through the book for evidence), I get 8/8.5s. So far my highest score, untimed, sans book, is a 6, which is a 67%. I like the class, but it’s so time-consuming to get an A. At least I’m becoming good friends with people in this class.

AP Lang & Comp - Hate it. My best friend is in this class, but my teacher has a constant attitude problem and is a bit of a narcissist. Also, everything we’ve done so far this year has been group work except for vocab, and we actually have a group vocab project we’re starting next week. I don’t learn much doing group work, and we’ve only written 1 essay in the class so far. I have a 97% (we have a whole 6 grades, and the quarter ends in a couple of weeks), but I doubt any of us will be prepared for the exam.

Computer Repair - My teacher is extremely redundant and doesn’t actually teach us anything. Our school is too poor to supply good computers for us to work on, but nobody even takes the class seriously enough to know what he (well, she for me… I’m the only girl in the class)'s doing and not break the computer. He also expects us to read the textbook, but he gives us a “pre-test” (aka the actual test, but in a different order) to do for homework per chapter, but a lot of kids (maybe 8?) in class still get 15s to 50s on the real test, no lie.

AP Chem - I got 100+ on nearly every test last year in honors chemistry, and I’m getting low 70’s this year. The way we “learn” each section is by answering maybe 5 word problems and then going on to the next section the day after. It’s not that I don’t get the material; it just doesn’t click fast enough for me to get a good grade when we have chapter tests weekly. And because there’s only 5 of us, my teacher displays more of her un-professional side, and she’s a lot more judgmental and rude/mean (sometimes) toward students (and people in general) than she seemed to be last year.

Mic. Apps - Fine. It’s a freshman class, but I need to fulfill the requirement, and I don’t want to do it next year.

Honors Pre-Calc - I have an 80(?). I’ve never taken an honors math course before, so I’m fine with that.

Chorus - A lot of drama… and my teacher is only in her mid-20s, so nobody respects her because she’s so close to our ages.
