Any one have any ideas? Heard its a popular major? Why?

i'm not sure about poli sci specifically, but jhu has a reallly good IR program (SAIS is the #1 grad program for IR). I have also heard good things about the government program... also it is only like an hour drive away from DC, and the grad school has a campus in DC where undergrads might be able to take classes (i'm not positive about that one). but also... check on the jhu website or go to the hopkins interactive blog.

Political science is an integral part of IR, so obviously with JHU's amazing IR program, the poly sci will be very good.

yep... that's what i was thinking.

I can't speak from experience however... I was going to take IAP (intro. american politics) last semester but dropped it to take other courses instead, and it wasn't offered this spring. I might take it next year. I am very interested in IR (as in, IR-specific courses, and poly-sci courses) but not so much in the other programs that make up the major like econ and foreign language (fluent).

Anyway, IR is very popular at Hopkins and very respected so if you're into political sci, mighgt want to think about that as well.

one of my fav. professors if a poli sci professor, if that helps!

I'm going to sound like a broken record -- but post your question on the JHU Message Boards: http://messageboard.chatuniversity.com/jhuboard/

What better place to go to then the source -- ask our current students!
