i am well aware of jhu's med school and its fabulousness. but i dont think i'm all that interested in the health field any more. my question is

is anyone here taking a political science major? or know of someone who is?

i am currently a junior, i have good stats, ranking, extra-curriculars, etc. a rather low sat score though the first time i took it (1970: M690 CR580 W700) i'm retaking this weekend actually.

do i have a chance? and how good is the program? thanks =)

I'm not a PoliSci major and I don't know if anyone on CC is, but take a look at Hopkins Interactive. Two of the student bloggers are in the Political Science department - Julia is a PoliSci major and Esther is a International Studies major. If you have specific questions for them, you could ask them in the message board.

Did you know that the term "political science" was actually coined by a Hopkins faculty member. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herbert_Baxter_Adams)

I agree with tanman you should check out Julia (http://hopkins.typepad.com/julia/) and Esther's (http://hopkins.typepad.com/esther/) blogs. Julia actually has done a number of internships in poli sci already and she is just finishing her freshman year.

The political science and international studies program is the largest undergraduate department at Hopkins.
