<p>Title should be "How's my college list?" I hate typos...</p>
<p>So... how's my college list? Do I need more safeties/matches? And anyone want to classify each one (safety, match, low reach, high reach, etc)?</p>
<p>My choices are:</p>
<p>UCLA
UC Berkeley
NYU Stern (my school might have connections with NYU, since 20+ people get in every year)
CMU Tepper
Cornell CALS
UMich
Boston U
Rutgers </p>
<p>I want to major in econ, math, or finance (depending on each school)</p>
<p>Here are my stats and stuff:</p>
<p>NJ Asian male
School: Ranked one of the top 10 public school in the state, very competitive, sends 10+ kids to the ivies every year and a lot more to other top schools
GPA: ~3.3-3.4 UW UC weighted GPA (capped at 8 semesters): 4.00, uncapped 4.08</p>
<p>Sophomore year:
AP chem: B/B (highest grade in the class was a flat 90)
USH I: B/B
Precalc H: B/B
French 4: B/B
English 10 H: B/B</p>
<p>Junior year:
AP English Lang&comp: B/B (only 2-3 people got As)
AP Bio: A/A
AP Calc AB: B/A

<p>Rank: School doesn't rank
SAT: 2220/1470 single sitting (possibly 2250 or even 2300+ from Oct sat)
SAT II: 800 chem 800 mathiic
AP scores: All 5s on chem, bio, english lang, music theory (self study), calc ab
Senior sched: AP econ, AP stat, AP calc bc, AP english lit
Total APs: 8
APs offered in school: ~20 (most of the ones I didn't take are the languages and the easy ones like studio, enviro, psych, etc)
ECs/volunteer/etc:
-Piano 9 years. Won many honors and compete a lot in music festivals and competitions. Played solo in Carnegie Hall multiple times. Tutored piano since 8th grade. Passed Grade 8 ABRSM with distinction.
-Violin 7 years (chamber orchestra since sophomore year)
-Academic League 3 years varsity member
-~150 volunteer hours
-Unpaid internship in Credit Suisse summer before sr year
Additional notes:
-My school has grade deflation my GC will address this in my rec
-I didn't really try in school until junior year, so I have an upward trend and hopefully that'll help =/</p>
