How's the Econ department?

<p>Hello, admitted transfer here trying to make a decision between UIUC and Mizzou.
How is the Econ department at Mizzou?
I know UIUC's is significantly higher ranked, but I like the curriculum and course offerings at Mizzou, and feel like I would fit in better.
Any additional information would be great!</p>

<p>My daughter is a freshman at Mizzou and a dual major journalism/economics. I know that it is a fairly competitive major. She has to retain a 3.5 gpa in order to stay in the program. She is so early in to it, but she really loves the classes so far.</p>
