<p>Anyone majoring in math or know somebody who is? I'm attracted to Vanderbilt because of the generous financial aid, but concerned because they are not well-known for math :</p>

<p>yah I was wondering about the same question.
Although I understand a lot of undergrad level math is very standardized across colleges, I do know that especially in some higher level math, the quality of the program matters.
Ex, the level of classes offered/variety.</p>
<p>They have two Field medalists on the faculty (or at least they did a few years ago). However, these professors don’t teach undergraduates as far as I know. S did a double major in economics and mathematics. He seemed to enjoy his math professors, but did talk about his econ professors far more.</p>
