How's the projected job outlook for a degree in Molecular Toxicology?

I'm trying to organize a fall back plan for when my plan to major in ChemE fails as a result of my own abilities, and I'm considering transferring to UCB to major in Molecular Toxicology and maybe double major in computer sciences. I'd at least go for my masters, maybe my PhD. I was turned off by chem/biochem because I know the job market is overrun with premed rejects. Input appreciated!

Molecular Toxicology will be equal or worse than biochem in terms of its job outlook, since you study the same thing but MT will be more specific. Just plan on doing well in ChemE. :)

arg okay back to formulating a new plan B

Trust me, most of those premed rejects don’t even get into chem/biochem after they’re rejected…they get rejected from med school and head straight to law or business school. MBA’s seem to be the thing to do if you don’t get in any of the med/dentist/law/vet etc programs.

I’ve seen very few premeds who return to their undergrad major to do work or pursue a graduate degree.

Since the worthwhile MBA programs mostly require several years of high-quality work experience to be admitted, this is a very poor backup plan.
