molecular toxicology or mcb?

for premed. what's better gpa wise..?

Toxicology. It is also more useful for a career in research in case med school doesn't work out. Too many people have molecular bio degrees these days, whereas knowledge of toxicology is high in demand in clinical-phase research.

The coursework in Integrative Bio and Public Health would be more relevant to med school.

toxicology. everyone and their mother is MCB

cause i'm in the College of chemistry right now. I'm either switching into L&S or CNR.
is it gonna be difficult switching to CNR?

can i take math 1a then math 16b. would that still count as 1 year of math for premed??
i heard 1b.. is killer?

1b is okay.

Also.. how come not a lot of premeds don't take chem 1b?

I think your usage of double negative misconstrues what you wanted to ask, which is 'why don't most premeds take chem 1b?'

It's simple: Chem 1A + Chem 3A counts as 2 semesters of gen chem and Chem 3B + MCB 102 counts as 2 semesters of organic chem. MCB 102 also doubles as a biochemistry course. Most med schools require 1 year of gen chem, 1 year of ochem, and a recommended semester of biochem. For premeds from other colleges, that would take 2.5 years to finish. However, Berkeley premeds finish the entire sequence and the recommended semester of biochem in 2 years.

oops.. LOL. yea. that's what i meant.
oh.. Ok. I think I'll go with that then cause I'm considering switching into CNR molecular toxicology, and mcb102 is required for my major. so i guess. Ill go with that.
Thanks.
Also.. another question.. physics..8a.. start this spring or next fall?
What about chem 3a?
