Hows this for senior yr schedule?

Hey guys i want ur input on my scheduled schedule for senior year.

AP eng Lit
Ap calc AB
spanish
geosystem
tech ed
programming
marketing

is this too much of a easy schedule and not enough APs to get into decent schools like rutgers, george washington uni, SUNYs, james madison, etc??

From looking at your schedule. I see you are going to do something Business/tech oriented perhaps, marketing +prgramming + tech ed?

You have a diversifyed schedule and it shows your open to new things, because anyone can take a 4 ap core, english math language science. But its good to see your a little more openminded.

GL

My senior schedule might kill me. Well, not really, but possibly. I think I can handle it.

AP English
AP Calc AB
AP Spanish
International Studies H
AP Physics or AP Bio(Probably the former)
Film Studies or Peer

does mine look too easy?

well, I think the more important thing is that you don't develop senioritis because of those easy classes. Just work hard and since they're relatively easy classes, you won't have to put in as much effort as in AP classes.

Here's my schedule, probably:

English AP 4
Spanish AP 5
Bio AP
Physics AP
Calc BC AP
Comp. Sci AP
Macro/Micro AP

^And yet, you seem to be clinically insane.

Senior Year:

Japanese 2 (highest level offered)
American Sign Language 3 (taking Regents mid year and moving to ASL4, which is the highest level offered)
AP Spanish Lang
AP Eng Lit
AP PC Eco (aka AP Gov and AP Econ)
AP Calc BC
AP Bio (still considering taking AP Physics instead)
Band
Phys. Ed. (mandatory)

Excited about taking three langauges (4 including English)! I know the course load is tremendous, but after the 1st semester, I tihnk I could relax a bit. Hopefully, by then I'd have been accepted somewhere (ED), and grades would be frozen.

The Hamchuck has me beat. I'm taking 5 AP classes and 2 honors for me. My school doesn't allow anyone with less then a B in Honors to take an AP class just so you know. People taking 6 or less classes total are a joke in all honesty.

As for the topic creator's load. If the others that aren't AP aren't at least honors then I would consider your schedule a blow off unless you go to some extremely competitive school.

I go to one of the top public schools in the nation, is this still bad.

and how about the collegs i mentioned?

Let me tell you, this is my schedule now:
AP Calc BC
AP Eng. Lit.
Adv. Photography 5/6 (highest level)
Photojournalism (actually, the class I put the most effort into)
AP US Gov
AP Macroecon

I am so bored. Mostly because I really don't mind getting B's in these classes.
My hardest classes would have to be Calc definitely, and Photojournalism (I probably spend 15+ hours outside of school per week just for this class).
You can handle it, as long as you put your mind to it. I have 20+ friends all taking a full AP schedule, and they are handling it fine, they just have to do the work. We have a pretty competitive school, too, not TOP, but a good one.

If you do go to 'one of the top public schools in the nation', take advantage of it! If the classes you signed up for are pure good ones, then take them. If they are just blowoff classes, consider substituting another harder class, honors or AP. Your school has to have a good honors curriculum, or it wouldn't be a top public school.

pshh...mine is easy

Algebra 3 (crap middle school)
Physics Honors
Political Science
spanish 3
AP Physics
Econ
English

Algebra 3 (crap middle school)

Is that like Trig, Part 2? o.o

well its basically all of trig

I'm really nervous, because I can't tell if I'm going to die or not. I'm taking more AP's than anyone in the current graduating class... and I think my class, too. Buuuut, my GUIDANCE COUNSELOR told me to do this. I'll have to trust him. Or I'll go into his office next year and cry.... and make him feel realllly awkward =)

AP Bio
AP Physics
AP Calc BC
AP French
AP Euro
AP English
H Band

Ah, next year will be great. With my planned schedule, I'm only going to take 3 AP classes (and a college math class which will probably take as much time as an AP... and band which does take more time than an AP...) It's going to be easy compared to all of those crazy people cramming in 6 AP's (maybe)!

Band
AP English Lit
AP US Gov
AP Physics C (Mechanics Only)

Concurrent Enrollment at Community College-
Calculus III and IV, assuming I pass the AP Exam.

Basically, there's 6 periods, and if you take a concurrent enrollment class, they take away 2 periods for that class. So then, you'd only be able to take 5 classes, unless you choose to take a "0 Hour" Class an hour earlier. I hope this doesn't look like I'm taking too easy of a schedule with only 3 AP's...

iam a soph and taking ap calculus bc and ap world hist

my next yr schedule would probably be like this

Ap Eng
AP Stats
AP Phys C
Ap ECons ( both macro and micro)
AP US HIST

i will do study hall and linear Algebra ( Higher than CAl man) too... yeah.. my schedule seems to be pretty relaxed

Why take the such a hard schedule for senior year? Senior year is a time to have fun and be with your HS friends for one last year.

I say my sched was relaxed except for AP bio....I just dont understand Bio.. I guess it would help if i read the book but that just takes too much time. :p

i think this thread turned into "How many APs are you taking next year?" thread lol. :)
next year will be a lot harder because of a huge transition from no APs freshmen year to 5 sophomore year and an IB class. This is what I think my schedule is going to be:
AP Calc AB
PIB French III
PIB Chemistry I
AP English lang
AP US Govt/VPS
IB Computer Studies
AP Stats
AP Art History
I hope I don't get overwhelmed!!!
