How's Your Morale?

I am so demoralized, I'm not confident in my PSAT score now and I don't get the score in 2 months. The suspense is killing me. All those months of studying would be for nothing if I don't make the cutoff score.

i can't tell what my score is because i went through writing so fast that i can't even think of any i got wrong/right. I did well last year so I'm estimating 74-80. CR at most one wrong (depending on curve that could be 77-80 right?), math .... bad. either way i think i made national merit... well hopefullly! haha. aww, feel better and don't think about it too much. concentrate on sats. those are what truly matter.

don't worry, if you don't make the cutoff at least you got in some good practice for the SATs, and thats what really matters.

for me, it looks like:

Math - 80
CR - 1 wrong
W - probably like two or three wrong, who knows?

So around: M:80, CR:78, W:<=72, T:<=230

It's definitely good enough, so I hope I didn't get more wrong than I'm thinking...But I shouldn't get my hopes up anyway. Damn these lousy PSAT curves. Anyway, NMSF doesn't count for all that much, so I should stop sweating it (and so should you).

I can't qualify for NMS this year (only in 10th grade), but I am 99% sure that I got a 76 in math, probably 80 in writing, and most likely scored below 60 in CR...x_x

I am hoping for at least 210, though.

I don't think I did even close to good enough for NMSF, but I'm only a sophomore so it doesn't really matter. I ran out of time on writing, and didn't have time to read the passages in critical reading. There were also two or three difficult math questions. I'll probably be able to get a 200 or better next year, though.

For you 10th graders, keep up the good work. Many students make substantial point gains between the sophomore and the junior year. Just study hard and try your best at school.

oh, definitely easier junior year. I got a 206 last year (w/o prep though), a 230 on this year's practice test, and expecting much better than a 206 on this year's actual PSAT.

Hmm... I scored 207 on last year's PSAT as a sophomore with no preparation whatsoever. This year, I'm fairly sure I missed no questions on the math or critical reading sections, however, I am not entirely sure about the writing section (was too tired to double check my answers). I would probably guess that I missed 3-4 if I was unlucky, maybe 0-1 if I was lucky. What score would that be around?

wow my soph year i got a 149 and my junior year i got a 232...huge diff right...eyah i was shocked

wow, that is amazing. :D

Turks: Nice.
I got 208 as a soph w/ a bit of prep (I did a few practice tests to get myself acclamated...). This year I did more prep (reading through the math section--which definitely paid off---and also the writing section--which might or might not have benefited me). I'm semi-confident about my scores but I'm not going to be upset if I don't get National whatever. I just want at least to not decrease from last year.

205 as a soph and hoping 225 range on this one.

i want my scores right now! :(

haha, hovering around 215-220 on practice tests, Cutoff last year for Florida was 212 and hangs around 215 at the highest. I just hope I didn't mess up.

211 last year as soph with little prep, just some reading on the packet. This year I was much more prepared and am expecting NMSF hopefully. Probably 80M/78R/70-78W, 225-235.

218 as soph, hoping to get National Merit in NY

Here's the biggest jump.
0-Soph
226-Junior

Try to beat that!!

Really funny, Fred

201 last year, but i think i got 235 + on this one (i did tons of work over the summer and i actually already took the SAT which is really weird... SAT = practice for the PSAT??) One wrong for writing, maybe zero wrong for cr, and probably one wrong for math - (wtheck, i dont remember if i said 49 + 9 or 16 +36 for that hotly contested x + y = 10 question)

Hah, I got a 217 sophomore year and a 209 junior year. :|
