the schools im applying to are
MIT, Yale, BU, NEU, UMass maybe, RPI, Barnard, Wellesley, and Rutgers

in april break im visiting boston university and northeastern.... and then Wellesley Junior Open Campus Day (not sure if thats exactly what it's called... it's on April 23 for all interested ladies!)

i visited MIT, Yale, and RPI last year (going again after admissions decisions or mid october)

what schools are everyone visiting/applying to? what's your intended major?

feel free to post things you liked/disliked about the schools you visited!

EDIT: i should be visiting barnard, rutgers, and umass this summer (augustish)

EDIT AGAIN: intended major: it changes with every school, but compter systems engineering, computer science and cognitive science, electrical engineering and computer science, or computer science and psychology.... i really want computer and cognitive science though)

I visited University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign a long time ago (it’s my state school). Visited UT Austin and Rice last spring break. Visited Duke, Wake Forest, and UNC Chapel Hill last summer. Visited UC Berkeley, Stanford, and USC during winter break, and am planning to go visit Vanderbilt, Emory, and Georgia Tech this spring break.

I am planning on a chemistry major.

I liked Stanford, Duke, and Rice the most out of the schools I have visited so far. I didn’t like UT Austin’s size among other factors. Wake Forest just didn’t click with me very well; it’s atmosphere didn’t suit me well. UNC Chapel Hill was okay, but I probably won’t apply there since it is out-of-state and won’t be cheap for me. Berkeley is going to be too expensive for me as I am out-of-state for California also. And USC didn’t seem too geared towards undergraduate science so I am currently not considering it very heavily.

Vanderbilt’s campus was really beautiful, even though it was raining.
The dorms are gorgeous too The vibe was great.

But I hate how they require the frosh to use communal bathrooms. I hate communal bathrooms. -___-
And the tour guide just went on and on about herself and the greek scene.

i’ve visited wesleyan (hated it), swarthmore (), haverford (…), northeastern (…), harvard (ick), stanford (ok), uc berkely (hated it), american (), and georgetown (…) so far. i did a trip to pennsylvania last year for the first three and the other ones i’ve seen as i went on trips for other things.
by fall, i’m planning on visiting umass amherst, brown, vassar, bard, ithaca, and oberlin. i want to check out macalester, carleton, pomona and claremont mckenna, but i don’t think i’m going to have the time.

edit: i’m going into poly sci or IR, looking for a small LAC with an interesting personality- after visiting harvard and stanford i realized those big prestigious universities don’t really have what i’m looking for

UIUC was actually decent. The quad was pretty nice in spring, but it is pretty cold and dreary in winter. It’s more of my safety school since I’m in Illinois but it is a decent school with great academics, particularly in engineering and science.

so far swarthmore, haverford, upenn, brown, tufts, and bc… I really like swarthmore, upenn and tufts so far, especially tuft’s awesome study abroad program.

An unhealthy amount lol. But I like to go whenever I go back to Rhode Island, I have good memories there from when I was younger. My stepmom went there for grad school when my dad lived there (and they were still married) and me and my sister would play in the courtyard while we waited for her to finish class.

i love MIT an unhealthy amount. yesterday i tried to create a my mit account for when you apply, and it said my name was already in the system… turns out i made an account like 5 years ago and forgot hahaha
i want to experience city life that’s why i’m leaning towards MIT, Rutgers, NEU, BU, and barnard. i haven’t checked out wellesley but it’s fairly close. i know umass is never mt holyoke (visited also) and it was wayyy to quiet
