I am currently a junior in highschool and I was wondering where other juniors might be applying to. Right now I have a pretty long list which I will hopefully be able to narrow down after I take some college tours in the summer. So, if you are a junior in highschool, what colleges will you apply to?

My list so far:
UCLA, UC Berkeley, UCSD, UCSB, UCSC, UCD, USC, Colby College, Duke, Dartmouth, Brown, Boston College, Boston University, Middlebury College, Cornell U., Davidson College, Stonehill College, Swarthmore College, UNC Chapel Hill

CPU! what’s your first choice?? if you got into all of them, where would you go?

@puggly: nice list!! in your opinion, do you like bates, colby, or bowdoin the best? i completely forgot to put bowdoin on my list!!! haha i would rather go there than colby. i’m from cali (you could probably tell because of all the UC’s :)) and i’m afraid it might be too cold for me in Maine…

I (and my mother) keep adding schools and taking them off everyday, but here’s a rough draft. I’m planning on making a lot of college visits early this summer, but until then, this is my rough draft.

(very interested)
USNA
Princeton
UofWA-Seattle
Dartmouth
Columbia
Georgetown

(kind of intereted)
Stanford
Bryn Mawr
UPenn

MIT(All time 1st choice, Idgaf about the costs).
Carnegie Mellon(This is like I’ll go here if I don’t get into MIT)
Harvard
Yale
UVA
Virginia Tech
George Mason

@mandy- Hmmm, of the three, I really only know a lot about Bates. I haven’t done a lot of college research yet- just on my ED school and a few others. I would just like to attend a liberal arts college (ironic since I’m applying to a few large schools), so I picked a few that are in ideal locations and have the academics I’m looking for.

If I get into all, lehigh, cmu, and RPI would be crossed off because of location (more than 3 hours away, mother’s rules).
It would then be whichever gave me the best FA (hopefully MIT or Rutgers or NEU)

These are pretty much in order of preference. I’m definitely applying to the first three EA.
-MIT
-CalTech
-GA Tech
Maybe:
-Stanford
-Vanderbilt
-Duke
-VA Tech
-Carnegie Mellon
-Harvard
