HS: Freshman Grades Are Haunting Me!

I have just started the school year as a junior in high school. Unfortunately, my freshman year was "damaging" -- I ended up with a 2.4-2.6 GPA. However, as a sophomore I did very well in school (Mostly A's and nothing lower than a B+ except for one C in a non-core subject). Consequently, and thankfully so, my cumulative GPA raised to a 3.1.

This year I'm taking two IB courses (History and English.) I know that I will get A's in these classes because I know a lot about history and my writing and reading skills are advanced according to my state test scores.

Now, what I'm really worried about are those freshman grades. Those bad marks will NEVER be erased from that official transcript. They're indelible. And now I'm trying to make it better by getting straight A's for my next two years.

I guess it could have been worse, but it's bad enough to me. I'm pretty sure that at this point, my GPA won't increase as much as it did during sophomore year. Well, I suppose that there's still hope for me.

Although I'm not asking a question, I suppose all I ask for is for ya'll to share your success stories. Did you also get less than stellar marks in HS especially in freshman year? How did this affect you?
