I want to make it to Harvard Law School. Please advise me on how to get in, as well as tips, advice and what should i do. Im currently a high school freshman, age 13 ( skipped second grade). My high school is crap. They have crappy teachers. Only the best of the best go to good schools from my hs. This is how my freshman year is looking:

classes: Spanish 2 H, English 9 H, global 9 H, earth science H, and geometry h. ( all honers)
grade: all in the 90's
sports: in 7th and 8th i played soccer. 9th grade, nothing.
extra: second violin
clubs: science club, Spanish club.
going to volunteer at local space observatory this summer.
intrests: stocks, cars, big words, problem solving
soon to be a member of NJHS
i have all honers classes
going to take ap euro next year, as well as java classes.

Law School is ridiculously far away - why do you care right now? Especially since your high school record will be irrelevant in your graduate school applications. And if only the best of the best of your high school go to good colleges then push yourself to do well. Then, when you’re an undergraduate, focus on your GPA since law school focuses on the numbers. Overall, come bak in a few years when you should actually care, in the meantime, have good work ethic and do the things you love.

I was barely even thinking about college in ninth grade, my less graduate school. Personally, it was only after I started getting accepted by colleges earlier this year that I even vaguely considered what sort of business school I want to attend to get my Master’s in Business Administration.

Take things a few steps at a time. Right now, you should be focused on high school, not law school.

DUDE U HAVE A LONG WAY!!!
i am about to be a sophomore in college, and @ my internship (lawfirm) the lawyers tell me worry about your GPA (and im in college)

your fine
your a smart kid
i mean getting into Harvard law school is a plus
but every law school basically has the same curriculm
listen your a smart kid
your 13 years old

i love the ambition
keep it going
keep using that drive
but man worry about doing well in high school, then the law school will come with it

its weird that you only have 5 classes…and you can’t spell HONORS lol

Focus on Harvard Undergrad first… Harvard Law is a loooong way off

lololol. I think the issue here is that our friend confused a Pre-Law track at Harvard College with Harvard Law School. However, I could be wrong.

Here is my advice: Read through the decisions threads at the topic of each Ivy League forum. See what successful students have done and what you can do to adopt some of their best qualities/achievements. On top of that, pursue your passions and have fun with your high school career!

Harvard Law is a completely different story. When you’re applying for this GRAD school, they will only care about your college GPA and your LSAT score. Extracurriculars are a non-issue :).

First off, you should learn the difference between Harvard College and Harvard Law.

They’re an issue when applying for certain internships and fellowships, at least.

Take Physics, Chemistry, and Biology for sciences.
Take Spanish every year.
Are you taking a Study Hall? If so, take a class instead.
